Introduction

In many industrial departments such as metallurgy, coal, building material, power, chemistry and food processing, the screening process is one of the important production links and screening machines are needed. As for the mineral processing industry such as coal dressing plant and ore beneficiation plant, large group of screening machinery is undertaking the work of classification, dehydration, deslimming and de-media and even classification by quality.

Vibrating screen can be divided into two types: linear vibrating screen and circular vibrating screen. This paper will introduce the working principle and performance features of vibrating screens with circular vibrating screen as the example.

Round vibrating screen is a new type of highly efficient vibrating screen with high efficiency and the materials in it move in a circular motion. This machine is mainly used for product classification in such industrial departments as coal, metallurgy and mine.

Features

Circular Vibrating Screen

1. The strong vibration of the screen box reduces the screen hole blockage by the materials, making the screen have high screening efficiency and production efficiency.

2. Simple structure and convenient change of the screen face.

3. The electricity consumption for screening every ton of materials is reduced.

Principle

The materials are sent into the vibrating screen through the conveyor belt or embedded scraper transporter. At the feeding end, generally speaking, a very thick material layer will be formed, and the fine particles can only be separated from the coarse particles through two processes: one is prime coat or hierarchy, during which the vibration makes the materials precipitate to the bottom to contact the screen and the coarse material float on top. This process is indispensable; otherwise the classification cannot be fulfilled. The other one is leaking screen, during which the fine particles are separated through the screen holes.

The screening process of circular vibrating screen: Electric motor drives the exciter eccentric block to rotate with high speed through the V-belt. The running eccentric block will produce huge eccentric force to excite the screen box to have circular motion with certain amplitude. The materials on the slanting screen will produce continuous throwing movement under the impact energy transmitted by the screen box, and while the materials contact the screen, the particles smaller than the screen hole will go through the screen, thus realizing classification.
